Patient-derived disease models

QurAlis’ scientists use stem cell technology to transform skin or blood cells from ALS patients into genetically faithful motor neurons that serve as QurAlis’ disease models.

These models allow us to recapitulate individual sub-forms of ALS in-lab and provide the opportunity to validate drug targets, screen, and test new targeted therapeutic candidates.

This breakthrough technology can also potentially provide clarity on the cause of ALS for the large group of patients with no currently identifiable genes linked to ALS.
